What's new with Fall creators update - Windows 10


Windows 10 is consistently improved from the day it is launched. A major change in windows operating system is the introduction of store and the windows as service model. Windows 10 delivers a seamless performance and Microsoft is constantly striving to provide better features. Though the windows 10 customer base seems to low at the beginning, it is constantly improved. Now windows 10 has the huge customer base next to windows 7.

Microsoft aims to make to operating system the most secure. New revamped Defender was introduced in fall creators update. Provides better support for pen and ink. Windows 10 is built down from the ground for best touch and desktop experience.

Fluent design is all about light, depth, motion, material and scale. Light helps to illuminate the objects and attracts the attention of the user. By illuminating light when you point to objects Microsoft plans to attracts the attention of the user. So, while you click you can use awesome effects. Depth to separate the contents to make it more clear and sensible. Motion will improve the seamless transition when you move from a page to another. Material will provide a digital environment for the users to work with as like a physical world. Scale to expand the design to work from 0D to 3D. Since Microsoft is working with a variety of devices, they want to make a design language universal for all the devices. With fluent design system, user experience in all the devices will be greatly improved with each update.

Microsoft values people:

Microsoft wants to place the people at core. This idea has led to the introduction of people app in fall creators update. With this app, you can pin up to 3 people, you contact most of the times. The apps which supports this feature will be shown in the apps section of peoples app.

On-Demand Sync:

The top requested feature in feedback app is the on-Demand sync for OneDrive. With this feature, your files in OneDrive will be shown on your PC but this will not consume your drive space. The file will be downloaded for you to work with, only when you require. If you are done with that, it will be sync seamlessly to your OneDrive and you can free up space on your drive.

Storage sense:

This feature will monitor the temporary files in your PC. If those files are left unused for long time. It will be deleted automatically to free up some space. If you enable this feature, the files in recycle bin will be deleted automatically after 30 days.

Continue on PC:

The most awaited and one of the top-rated feature is continue on PC. If you are working on other device such as mobile or tablet and would like to continue your rest of the work on PC, what would you do? Traditionally copy all the files, no more. Continue on PC, syncs all your work in background to cloud and you can just start working on your windows 10 PC without doing anything. But you have to pair all your devices to the PC.

Cortana:

Cortana becomes smart with every release. You can now search the web from Cortana and preview the pages without leaving the app. Now you can chat more with Cortana and it is ready to play with you.

More features to surprise you. You can even download Ubuntu (Linux OS) from windows store and this will runs in windows.
